NOORDERKERK (2009)

Wood, iron, piano hinges

240 x 80 x 60, 240 x 80 x 60cm

I was trying to figure out what I looked for when I made photographs, why I made the photographs I was making at the time.
One of my methods was tracing the line structure on a photograph I liked. To test wether this line structure was indeed what interested me in the image I deceided to sculp the line structure in three different ways.
off course the sculptures started to create their own line structures.

And also in other ways moved far away from the original photograph.

The line structure I used came from a photograph I took in the 'Northern church' (Noorderkerk) in Amsterdam. This became the title of the project.
